The lotus flower grows from the depths of the mud, slowly rising toward the light while staying rooted in the very place it began. It’s a powerful and beautiful symbol of the healing journey. We all have times when life feels heavy or unclear — when we feel stuck in the mud, disconnected from ourselves, overwhelmed by life, or unsure of how to move forward. Maybe there’s anxiety, sadness, or just a sense that something’s missing. You don’t have to find your way alone. Healing doesn’t mean escaping the mud — it means learning how to grow through it, to rise gently toward the light while honoring where you’ve been. With support, it’s possible to reconnect with your inner wisdom, rediscover your strength, and come home to yourself.
Finding your way to inner peace...
Being human is a challenging and anxiety-producing endeavor! Whether it's trauma or just the stress of navigating this thing called being human we develop many survival strategies to help us get through it.
Whether it's a single overwhelming event, ongoing stress since childhood or the quiet, ongoing anxiety (or depression) that plagues many of us, we often feel disconnected from our authentic self. In that disconnection, we develop deeply adaptive ways to cope — through perfectionism, workaholism, self-doubt, a sense of failure, need for controlling everything, eating disorders, addictions, people-pleasing, or even traits we might call “personality disorders.” These are not flaws. They are creative, intelligent responses to pain.
But survival isn’t the end of the story.
Healing is about gently repairing the relationship we have with ourselves, our bodies, and with life itself. It’s about learning to feel safe again — not just emotionally, but physiologically — so we can begin to live from a place of connection rather than protection.
In my own life, I’ve walked this path — healing from trauma and disordered eating and a sprinkling of many other creative survival strategies. And now, I specialize in guiding others through their own process of coming home to themselves, of moving from surviving to thriving.
I weave together a grounded, integrative approach that draws from evidence-based therapies like EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (somatic work), Schema Therapy, DBT, Ego State Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices, including mindful eating as well as heart-centered hypnotherapy. Each of these modalities helps restore the nervous system’s capacity for connection, resilience, and choice.
This work is tender, courageous, and powerful — and you don’t have to do it alone.
If you’re feeling the call to reconnect with the truth of who you are, I would be honored to walk beside you.
Are you ready to take the journey home to yourself?
