Did you know that your emotions affect your hormones which affects your ability to release weight? One method I use with myself and my clients to turn my stress causing hormones into weight releasing hormones is tapping or EFT
(emotional freedom technique) and heart-centered hypnotherapy in addition to holistic coaching. One reason these techniques are so effective around weight loss is that when you work on your emotions and you start to feel better, it influences the chemical pharmacy you have inside of you. You create drugs in your body all the time. A lot of people are taking a weight gaining drug. They're taking it daily without even realizing it, and that weight-gaining drug is called stress, which creates an overproduction of a hormone called cortisol, which is directly related to abdominal fat.
Even stressing about releasing weight will prevent you from releasing weight. Can you believe that? Even stressing about releasing weight prevents you from releasing weight. So you can be exercising, you can be eating right, but if you are so anxious and stressed around your weight, you are creating this drug, which is working against you. What my techniques do are to change that drug from a harmful drug into a helpful drug, creating useful hormones in your body that will support you in your efforts to release weight.
We are tapping into your natural pharmacy. Things like contentment and hopefulness are drugs that help you release
weight. Often times, instead of feeling good, we feel helpless and despairing especially when it comes to our body shape. Positive emotions change the biochemistry of your body which is one reason why we see such dramatic
results when people use tapping to release weight. We will access these emotions through tapping, hypnosis and holistic coaching.
Often times, we are subconsciously feeling emotions which cause us to act out certain behavior such as overeating and we are totally unaware of them on a conscious level. The techniques I use bring awareness to our emotions and our thoughts and then we honor those emotions (instead of hiding from them) as well as releasing them. Many of us carry a certain amount of shame around how our bodies look. This creates a chemical cocktail in our bodies that keeps the weight on as well as leading us to choices that coincide directly with our subconscious thoughts about our body not being 'enough.' Our choices actually prove to us that what we believe is true. I'll help you bring awareness to these underlying beliefs so you can change them into beliefs that serve you.
On my free call, we'll be addressing these underlying emotions around how we've structured our current body shape. For many, it will be quite an emotional experience and you may never look at your body the same way again!
